2009 Junior Golf Camp

This year there will be three junior programs at Green Acres Golf Course. 

The first program is designed for beginners. They will be taught the golf swing, golf etiquette, and the rules of golf. We will start Monday June   8th, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. and will go until 12:00 noon and run for 6 weeks this summer.  On the last day there will be a cookout and trophies scheduled for the final day of the program.  Cost for the program will be $75.00 and is on a first come, first serve basis. Only 50 students will be taken.

The second program will be LEAGUE for all juniors who can shoot 55 or better for nine holes. The cost is $5.00 per week and runs for 8 weeks. The league will start on Monday, June 15th, 2009 at 12:30 p.m..  Juniors will play 9 holes and there will be some instruction upon request and instruction from the staff when needed. The league will end August 20th, 2009.  We will be holding a small picnic on the final day of the program. The age limit will be 7 through age 16 or still in High School.

ADDED JUNE 3, 2009 - The third program for juniors age 12-17 will be an advanced learning and playing class geared for juniors wanting to play High School Golf.  John Grimes, PGA Professional, and Steve Grimes, Golf Teaching Pro, will instruct and be with all juniors and in addition will work on their swing, rules and etiquette. Course Management will also be taught during this 4 week class which starts Wednesday, June 17th from 10:00am to noon. The class size is limited to the first 12 juniors with the cost being $100.00.
